ὀφίτης, ου [ῑ] adj. m. semblable à un serpent : λίθος, Diosc. 5, 162 ; ou subst. ὁ ὀφίτης, Orph. Lith. 457, ophite, pierre tachetée comme la peau d’un serpent.
